Vivekananda Junior Forum Session – A Day of Energy, Focus, and Team Spirit
At SDCVV, learning extends beyond textbooks—each Vivekananda Junior Forum session inspires students to grow in discipline, mindfulness, and unity while nurturing the spirit of service and self-development.
The Vivekananda Junior Forum session held at SDCVV on 1st November was a wonderful blend of energy, discipline, and mindfulness. Guided by Shri Jayavel and Shri Mothish, the session encouraged students to embrace focus, unity, and self-awareness in an engaging and meaningful way.
🎶 A Harmonious Start
The morning began with a soulful prayer song, setting a calm and uplifting atmosphere. Soon after, students practiced the VJF song in groups, joyfully memorizing the first stanza together. This exercise fostered team spirit, coordination, and enthusiasm, bringing a sense of shared purpose to the session.
🌞 Yoga for Balance and Clarity
The facilitators then led the group through Surya Namaskar, explaining its role in enhancing physical vitality and mental calmness. Students learned how this yogic practice can improve focus, flexibility, and emotional balance—skills that benefit both study and life.
Marching Towards Discipline
Next, students participated in a march-past training session, learning commands such as Dahine Mur, Bayen Mur, Savdhan, Vishram, Pichhe Mur. The exercises promoted alertness, posture, and precision, while reinforcing the importance of discipline, respect, and teamwork.

Games That Teach Life Lessons
The excitement rose with interactive games designed to test focus and cooperation.
In the first activity, students formed a large circle while two participants ran in opposite directions, met, and returned to their places—encouraging quick thinking and attentiveness.
This was followed by the engaging “Snake Game,” where teams raced to catch the opposing team’s tail without breaking formation. The lively competition brought laughter and cheers while teaching teamwork, strategy, and unity through play.

💫 Reflections and Takeaways
The facilitators guided a reflection session, inviting students to share their insights. Participants highlighted values such as cooperation, focus, leadership, and perseverance, recognizing how these lessons extend beyond the classroom.
The session concluded with the recitation of the Swadesh Mantra, leaving everyone with a profound sense of unity, inspiration, and national pride.
