Youth Forum Session - Where Inspiration Meets Aspiration
At
SDCVV, education steps beyond books—each VYF session inspires students to stay
focused, think boldly, and nurture values that shape confident, service-minded
individuals.
A Meaningful
Beginning
The
session was facilitated by Shri Mothish and Shri Nithish Kumar. The session
began with a soothing prayer song followed by the VYF song, filling the hall
with peace and purpose. Shri Mothish, the facilitator, took a moment to explain
the deeper message behind the song, helping students connect with its values. A
brief meditation that followed allowed everyone to clear their minds and
prepare themselves for the day’s journey of learning and reflection.
A short meditation session helped everyone refresh their minds and stay focused for the day’s learning.
The
session grew even more inspiring with the introduction of Shri Nithish
Kumar, an IAS aspirant from Madurai. His presence instantly sparked
curiosity among the students. With sincerity and clarity, he shared his
experience of preparing for the UPSC examination—highlighting the discipline it
demands, the challenges it presents, and the satisfaction that comes with
consistent effort. His relatable stories helped students understand that big
dreams are not distant; they are achievable with steady focus and a determined
mindset.
“What is your goal?”
Some students eagerly expressed their aspirations, while others hesitated or
admitted they were still unsure. Using their answers, he explained why having a
goal matters, how clarity directs our energy, and why it is perfectly okay not
to have all the answers yet. What truly matters, he reminded them, is the
willingness to think, explore, and begin shaping one’s direction.
He
then guided the students through an engaging presentation on goal
setting, explaining how to understand where one is heading,
differentiate between unclear and purposeful goals, and discover ideas even
when feeling confused. He also encouraged students to explore opportunities
beyond textbooks, introducing them to various examinations such as UPSC, TNPSC,
NDA, and CDS that broaden career possibilities.
His talk concluded with Swami Vivekananda’s powerful words:
“If you think yourselves strong, strong you will be.”
The hall resonated with confidence as students repeated the line together—an uplifting
reminder of their inner strength.
The energy rose further during a lively activity where
students had to name as many professions as possible without repeating any.
Their enthusiasm filled the room as they listed more than forty different
careers—doctor, lawyer, chef, blogger, game designer, director, president, and
many more. The activity opened their eyes to the wide range of opportunities
that exist in the world and encouraged them to think beyond the familiar.
As the session drew to a close, the soulful recitation of
the Swadesh Mantra created a moment of unity and peace,
leaving students with a quiet strength and renewed inspiration.
